Stregone: The pizza pop-up we'll seek out weekly

Miami's restaurant scene loves a pop-up, and I finally tried Stregone, the pizza shop that takes over To Be Determined every Tuesday.
- Spoiler: It's great.
The vibe: Casual and inviting. The staff was welcoming and the intimate space is perfect for date night or dinner with your bff.

State of plate: The menu is small, with just one app (garlic knots) and four slices to choose from ($5-$7 each).
- The OG margherita, pepperoni, stracciatella & leeks (all New York-style) and Sicilian (thicker, square-shaped pie).
- Obviously, my friend Ana Claudia and I ordered one of each.
Yes, but: No knots for us. They were sadly out.
The verdict: The marg is a classic for a reason: The dough is crispy, cheese is chewy and the sauce-to-cheese ratio was on point.
- The pepp had a generous amount of meat and a lovely kick.
- The S&L was a really bright slice. The caramelized leeks offer a subtle sweetness.
- On the Sicilian, the marinara really shines, as it's bit more flavorful than the classic marg. Perfectly thick and pillowy dough.
What's next: This time, we opted to try the slices as featured.
- Next time, I'll be indulging in a few add-ons, which range from mushrooms to anchovies to mortadella (yes, yes and yes).
