From World Cup watch parties to ongoing Pride celebrations, there are tons of activities happening in Miami this weekend.
- Friday is also Juneteenth, and we've included a few events to help you honor the occasion.
Salsa Z: The monthly dance series is back this month with a special World Cup pre-game and dance class at ZeyZey.
- Wednesday, 7pm. Tickets: $18+.
Walking with a Purpose: FIFA Around the World Edition: Join in on a 2-mile social walk with folks from around the world repping their country's jerseys. After the walk, stick around for a jersey swap, competitions and prizes.
- Wednesday, The Underline Hammock Playground, 6:30–8:15pm.
Roots Bookstore & Market Inaugural Book Fair: The free, family-friendly event will feature local artists and food vendors, spoken word, live music and more to celebrate Juneteenth.
- Friday, 11am–6pm.
Rooted & Rising: Juneteenth Stories & Sounds of Overtown: The free, day-long event will honor one of Miami's most historic communities with live music, cultural performances, community conversations, historical exhibits and more.
- Friday, OVRTWN Corner, 11am–8pm.
The People's Cookout: A community celebration of Black culture that will honor the legacy of Juneteenth through music, food, community and connection.
- Friday, Reserved MIA, 10pm–2:30am.
Summer Fruit Festival: Head to Fruit & Spice Park for a family-friendly day featuring exotic fruits, local arts, crafts and vendors.
- Saturday and Sunday, 10am–5pm. Tickets: $12+.
