Fiorito is one of Miami's best, most consistent restaurants — at least according to the Brugal family.
- So when I got wind that its little sibling outpost, Almacen By Fiorito, opened across the street, I told Martin that's where we'd be going for our first co-working lunch of 2026.
The vibe: Like a little market, with wine bottles lining the walls and frozen dishes available for purchase.
- A few small tables sit in the cozy dining space where guests can peek back into the open kitchen.
Dig in: The menu is mostly sandwiches, empanadas and two platos del dia.
- I got the Picanha plato, which came with a side of rice and beans. (The other plato was chicken.)
- Martin got the choripán and the empanada de choclo.
My take: It's a lot of food for $16.99 (a steal in Miami!). The two pieces of meat were perfectly medium-rare, tender and juicy.
- The rice and beans were nothing special, but they were a good compliment to the meat.
Martin's review: My $12 choripan was generously stuffed with two chorizos, so I ate one half for lunch and gave the other to my wife! (Marriage is a partnership.)
- My only gripe was that the choripan needed more chimichurri. The pickled beets were a great condiment to add.
- The $4 empanada was decent, but it looked pretty (the first open-faced empanada I've ever seen), which gives it style points.
The bottom line: It's a perfect option for a quick, filling and reasonably-priced lunch.
