Why it matters: In Miami, there is always a budget-breaking event just around the corner. Best to plan ahead.

January

🌴 Art Deco Weekend takes place Jan. 9–11 in South Beach.

Enjoy live jazz, swing dance classes, architectural tours and more along the temporarily car-free Ocean Drive.

February

🖼️ The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is Feb. 14–16.

If Art Basel is too fancy for you, hit up the open-air art fair where you can actually afford certain pieces.

March

🪩 Ultra Music Festival is March 27–29 at Bayfront Park downtown.

Afrojack, Alesso, Bzrp and more headline this electronic dance music festival.
Three-day tickets $539.

🎸 GroundUp Music Festival: Grammy-winning band Snarky Puppy's music festival returns to the Miami Beach Bandshell March 13–15.

The lineup includes Flying Lotus, Patrice Rushen and Rickie Lee Jones.

🥁 Calle Ocho Music Festival: The March 15 Latin music festival fills 15 street blocks of Little Havana with musical stages, international food and entertainment.

🎾 Miami Open: The tennis tournament, held annually at Hard Rock Stadium, will take place March 15–29.

April

🎬 The Miami Film Festival returns April 9–19.

The festival, hosted across Miami-Dade County, will showcase over 100 films from 40 countries.
The full program has yet to be released.

May

🏎️ The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix will take place at Hard Rock Stadium May 1–3.

The three-day race weekend consists of a Friday practice and sprint qualifying session, a Saturday qualifying and sprint race, and the race on Sunday.
One-day tickets start at $75 for a Friday pass, which is Martin's recommended choice.

June

🏳️‍🌈 Wynwood Pride is sure to heat up the summer.

Official dates and events have yet to be announced.
