Let's take a look at what's happening in Miami this weekend.
🇬🇷 The 2025 North Miami Greek Festival runs Friday-Sunday at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation.
- Enjoy authentic food, live performances and vendors at this free event.
🌳 NightGarden is back at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The after-dark experience transforms the 83-acre landscape into a "glowing world of art, light, and imagination" with illuminated trails, interactive installations and a retail pop-up from Bubble Pops, the brand behind Labubu.
- The event opens Friday and runs through Jan. 11.
- Weekdays 6–10 p.m.; Weekends 6–11 p.m.
- Ticket prices vary.
🌕 Admire the Beaver Moon on Saturday night at Fruit & Spice Park's stargazing event.
- The Homestead park will have a communal telescope, a campfire, a food truck — plus beer, wine and other drinks for sale.
- What's better than s'mores under the super moon?
- You're encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Small coolers are welcome; large coolers and pets are not permitted.
- From: 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
- Tickets: Adults pay $10. Kids over 5 pay $5.
⚓️ The 2025 UIM E1 World Championship, a celebrity-backed electric boat-racing series, is coming to Miami this weekend.
- Yes, but: Tickets start at over $1,000, so we won't be marking this on our personal calendars but are flagging as more of a situational awareness.
- The event is being held at the Miami Seaplane Base so traffic on the MacArthur Causeway may be impacted Friday and Saturday.
🏀 The Miami Heat have two home games this weekend: Friday against Charlotte and Saturday against Portland.
- Friday's 8pm matchup (Tickets $24+) is part of the NBA Cup, the league's the league's annual in-season tournament.
- Tickets to Saturday's 8pm game also start at $24.
⚽️ Inter Miami plays Nashville SC in a do-or-die Game 3 of their first-round playoff matchup. The winner will advance to the second round.
- 8pm at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
- Tickets $82+.
🐶 Miami-Dade County and Debris Free Oceans are hosting the Pup Carnival at Tropical park on Sunday.
- There will be celebrity and owner look-alike costume contests, dog-themed trivia and a scavenger hunt.
- Food trucks and vendors will sell dog treats, toys and other gear.
- Miami-Dade Animal Services will have shelter dogs up for adoption, too
- Free. 9:30am-2pm.
