A Michelin-level Miami Spice hack in Wynwood

Why it matters: The discount program from the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau gives diners a chance to eat fancy meals at budget-friendly prices — while supporting local restaurants during a brutal off-season.

State of plate: My wife and I visited the Michelin-recommended restaurant and ordered almost everything off the menu to craft the perfect four-course lineup.

• Tomatoes & burrata: Sweet, tangy and creamy. The mango chutney is a nice surprise.
• Osso bone marrow: Perfect bite candidate. The savory ossobuco and the rich, creamy marrow pair well. (If you're feeling less daring, the meatball is another good option.)
• Steak frites: My perfect bite of the night. New York strip served with wagyu fat potatoes, harissa aioli, chimichurri and sautéed onions.
• Ube Cheesecake Empanada: A little salty, a little sweet. Big Thanksgiving vibes. Think sweet potato pie in a crispy pastry.
