The nation's largest padel court is coming to Miami

The country's largest padel club is coming to Midtown, part of a $2 billion development slated for one of the largest undeveloped parcels in the neighborhood.

The latest: Ultra Padel, with Rosso Development and Midtown Development, announced this month that the 2-acre development will feature 11 outdoor padel courts and three children's courts, in addition to food and beverage options and community programming.

Why it matters: Ultra Club Midtown is the latest padel development to hit Miami, which in recent years has seen the sport skyrocket in popularity.

Miami's celebrities — from Inter Miami's Lionel Messi to former Heat star Jimmy Butler — have participated in the numerous tournaments the city has hosted.

Meanwhile, the city of Miami Beach last month said it was negotiating a deal for the construction of a private padel facility on the roof of a parking garage near Lincoln Road.

Last year, Ultra said it intended to add more courts to its Little Haiti facility.
And in April 2024, Padel X opened a 10-court club in downtown Miami, near the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center.

What's next: The courts are expected to open in December.
