The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is proposing to overhaul its outdoor pool deck by adding 11 waterslides, including one that would tower 120 feet tall, the Miami Herald reports.
Why it matters: The historic hotel — which is home to LIV Nightclub — wants to attract more families and children as city leaders try to redefine Miami Beach's party reputation.
What's inside: The proposed public water park would include separate slides for adults and children, per the Herald.
- The hotel's existing stock of 10 pools will decrease to five pools, two hot tubs and a kids zone.
What's next: The Herald reports that the Fontainebleau has submitted an application to the Historic Preservation Board for the renovations.
- Redevelopment of the pool deck is scheduled to begin in early 2026, Fontainebleau Development wrote in a press release.
- The resort will remain open during construction, Forbes reported.
