The city of Miami Beach is negotiating a deal for the construction of a private padel facility on the roof of a parking garage near Lincoln Road.

- Racquet Property Company — the Coral Gables firm behind Padel X Miami — is proposing a Padel X Miami Beach facility with a lightweight canopy shielding players from the elements.
The padel facility would cover about 39,000 square feet and replace about 200 parking spaces, a city spokesperson tells Axios.
- A previous proposal that commissioners had considered would have taken up the entirety of the P27 parking lot near Lincoln Road, but that was dropped in favor of a rooftop plan.
