After Inter Miami loss, Beckham beefs with Minnesota

Zoom in: In an Instagram post Sunday, Minnesota captioned a photo "Pink Phony Club," seemingly alluding to Inter's pink color kits and Chappell Roan's hit song, "Pink Pony Club."

• No matter that the song is a nod to feeling comfortable in queer spaces and has zero connection to sports.

Inter's owner, however, could not disregard what he interpreted as a dig, commenting on the post with a simple message: "Show a little respect, be elegant in triumph."

• Incredible. Even while angry, he is dignified!

Then, Minnesota posted a second photo of a banner that reads "History Over Hype Culture Over Cash," with the words hype and cash in pink.

Reality check: Beckham paid $25 million to get Inter Miami into MLS in 2014.

• Minnesota United FC was founded in 2015.

The bottom line: Do we think Beckham has bigger things to deal with? Sure do!

• But this little Instagram exchange offered a perfect Monday morning giggle.
