Inter Miami is no longer most "in demand" MLS team

Two years after soccer legend Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami CF, his impact on American soccer culture continues to be felt.

State of play: Ticket retailer StubHub, which released its 2025 Major League Soccer season preview yesterday, found that Inter Miami plays in the ten most in-demand matches of the upcoming season.

Seven of the 10 are away matches played outside South Florida, per the report, which is based on StubHub and viagogo ticket sales as of Feb. 10.

Yes, but: Inter Miami is no longer the most in-demand team in the league, somehow losing the No. 1 spot to Columbus Crew, which just traded away its best player.

Flashback: Inter had a disappointing end to the 2024 season, losing in the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs as the No. 1 seed.

What's next: Inter opens the regular season at home Feb. 22.
