The weekend after Art Basel is a great time to charge your batteries, finish last-minute holiday shopping and enjoy the cool weather.
Check out these local events:
🎨 The Holiday Art Garden brings live painting, pottery and DIY holiday crafts to Hoy Como Ayer tonight at 7pm.
- Make your own holiday cards, clay ornaments or sculptures and sip on adult beverages at the Calle Ocho bar.
- Free entry, but $40 for art activities.

🎶 A holiday concert and drone show will light up South Beach beginning Saturday night as part of the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights on Ocean Drive.
- A light show will be projected onto the city's Art Deco hotels as a live orchestra plays winter holiday classics.
- Friday-Sunday through Dec. 22.
- Free, but bring your own seat. VIP seats are also for sale.
- Encores of the concert and 15-minute drone show will repeat throughout the evening starting at 6:15 p.m. until 9 p.m.

🍻 Wear your ugly holiday sweater to The Wharf Fort Lauderdale and Regatta Grove on Friday for a complimentary cocktail and half-priced drinks.
- Both venues are also hosting holiday-themed nights on Saturday. (Ride the mechanical bull at The Wharf on Sunday for country night)

🚊 Make believe you're on a train to the North Pole with Tri-Rail's Winter Wonderland.
- Saturday from 11-3pm at the Miami International Airport station, ride the train for $5 and see Santa Claus, get your face painted and decorate holiday cookies.
- There will also be food tucks, live entertainment and a bounce house.
- First 100 riders with a valid ticket get a free gift.

🏃 Sweat off the stress of the work week at the 2024 AvMed Orange Bowl Beach Run on Sunday.
- Choose a 5k or 10k. Miami Beach residents can use code "MiamiBeach" for $10 off.
- $35+. The kids' race is free.

🎅 Enjoy the Christmas market at Doral's Shoma Bazaar on Sunday afternoon.
- The market is from 12-5pm, followed by a musical holiday event from 2-5pm featuring appearances from Santa and the Grinch.
