Art Week's hotels-turned-galleries offer fun, accessible shows

Why it matters: These unique, solo galleries are often more accessible to the general public.

• They're typically free to enter — though an RSVP may be required — and a great way to see dozens of artists, works and approaches in one place.

Case in point: Feria Clandestina 2024 at the Selina Miami Gold Dust Motel will feature 29 exhibitor rooms and five special projects showcasing 93 artists, per the organizers. Thursday-Saturday, 12pm. Free.

• One room will highlight sustainable art projects; another will have video and digital works; a third will feature a "dynamic auditory experience."

• Art Gaysel: Miami's queer art fest is back for its ninth year with more than 30 artists at the Hôtel Gaythering in South Beach. Thursday-Saturday, 5pm. Free.
• Ink Miami Art Fair: This show emphasizes modern and contemporary works on paper with 15 galleries by transforming the Suites of Dorchester in Miami Beach. Wednesday-Sunday. Free.

• No Vacancy: 12 Miami Beach hotels are hosting temporary art exhibitions for the program's fifth juried art competition. Through Dec. 12. Free.
• Alcova: This event is taking over Miami's historic River Inn in East Little Havana, showing contemporary designs from around the world. This year, more than 40 international exhibitors will be featured. Today-Sunday. 11am-7pm. $25.
