It's officially spooky season โ even if the scariest thing about fall in Miami is the haunting heat.
- So grab that pumpkin spice latte, dust off your flannel and enjoy these fall activities while you pick your Halloween costume.
๐จ House of Horror Haunted Carnival: This fright fest, now open at Miami International Mall, claims to be South Florida's largest "haunt experience."
What's inside: Over 100,000 square feet of haunted houses and scare zones featuring paintball, demonic creatures and a "scarecoaster." Plus, food and carnival games.
- Tuesday-Sunday, 6pm-11pm; Friday-Saturday, 6pm-midnight. Open through Halloween.
- Tickets start at $39 for adults, $20 for kids 6 and under. Parking is free.

๐คก The Horrorland: Scream your way through five new haunted houses and seven scare zones at Jungle Island.
What's inside: A "Disco Inferno" scare zone where sinister roller skaters swarm visitors to "horror disco music;" a haunted twist on the North Pole with "terrifying holiday characters;" and an apocalyptic haunted house with "nightmarish" aliens.
- Most attractions are recommended for children 12 and up. There's "junior" attractions like walking trails, the cemetery food village and spooky scare zones for the kiddos.
- For adults, there's spooky beverages and a beer garden. (See more here)

๐น The Dead Flamingo Pop-Up at Casa Tiki: All month long, step into "Nightmare on 8th Street," a haunted tiki-themed bar on Calle Ocho, complete with spooky drinks, horror movie nights and Halloween-themed trivia.
๐ Tinez Farm Pumpkin Patch: Enjoy family fun at this pet-friendly Southwest Dade farm and petting zoo, featuring a pumpkin patch, zip lines, tubing slide, bounce house and more. (See more here)

๐ Harvest Festival at The Berry Farm: Conquer the 5-acre corn maze, pluck pumpkins straight off the vine and enjoy live music in the Redland.

๐ป The City Boo-tiful: Coral Gables is gearing up for Halloween with a doggy costume contest, creepy bar crawl and trick-or-treating on Miracle Mile.
- On Oct. 26, from 2pm-8pm, enjoy family fun like candy distributions, face painting, balloon artists and a magic show.
- From 4pm-9pm, check out the Day of the Dead celebration at Ponce Park with traditional Mexican performances, music and food.
- Beginning at 6pm, adults over 21 can take advantage of happy-hour deals at the Drink-or-Treat event.
- On Halloween night, the city will organize a haunted house at the Coral Gables War Memorial Youth Center (not recommended for kids under 5).
๐ Halloween Half Marathon: Pretend you're running away from an ax murderer in South Beach on Oct. 26.
- Starts at 6:30am on 7th St. and Ocean Drive. The half marathon is $100 and the Freaky 4-miler is $55.
๐ญ Spookysburg: Smorgasburg Miami is celebrating the holiday season Oct. 26-27 with food vendors, a dog costume contest, live music and pumpkin carving.
- Free to enter but arts and crafts activities are extra. 12pm-8pm.
