Developers are proposing a new hotel for Hallandale Beach after ditching plans for a condo-hotel project, the Real Deal reports.

• BH Group and Prime Group need city approval to exceed a 14-story height limit.
• The proposal calls for a 15-story project with 246 hotel rooms and a public plaza at 804 South Federal Highway.

A new 11-story apartment complex with income-limited rents has been approved in North Miami, the South Florida Business Journal reports.

• The mixed-use project, at the corner of Northeast Sixth Avenue and 127th Street, is expected to reserve up to 90% of its 240 apartment units for "moderate income housing," the developers say.
• It will also include 22,000 square feet of retail, 339 parking spaces and 11,000 square feet of green space.
• The site currently houses a church, private school and single-family home, per the SFBJ.
