Cafecito: Python floated as green beef alternative

A scientific study out of Australia suggests that Floridians should raise pythons as livestock and eat them instead of beef to reduce environmental impacts of methane gas. (Miami Herald)

  • However, some pythons pulled from the Everglades have mercury levels 100 times too high for human consumption and are listed as unsafe to eat by the Florida Department of Health.
