Inside The Antler Room, 9 years running

Zoom in: Nick and wine director Leslie Newsam Goellner opened The Antler Room in 2016, naming it after The Antler Club, a Prohibition-era West Bottoms bar that ran during the height of Tom Pendergast's rule.

Fun fact: Last year, the couple opened a second restaurant, Izakaya Anjin.

Dig in: The scarpinocc is filled with celery root and parsnip and served with braised rabbit, roasted chestnut, parsley sauce and barberries.

• The roasted cauliflower is dressed in romesco and finished with a golden raisin and caper vinaigrette, almonds, garlic and parsley.
• The sakura pork collar steak is glazed in gochujang pepper jelly and served over ramp kimchi polenta with red eye gravy.

💭 Abbey's thought bubble: I came for the scarpinocc and left thinking about the cauliflower. Order it. If you skip a vegetable on this menu, you're doing it wrong.
