Huntsville International Airport unveiled new restaurants Tuesday.
Why it matters: HSV has transformed the area between Gates 3 and 5 into a modern airport dining area, providing Huntsville travelers with some quality options while waiting on their flights.
The latest: The addition of Everbowl, Rocket City Bar & Grill and Rocket City Express wraps up the food and beverage portion of the airport's HSV Refresh plan.
- The restaurants will open in time for the first flight in the morning and stay open through the final flight's departure time, per an HSV announcement.
Case in point: It's the first airport location for San Diego-based Everbowl, Hailey Coffman, enterprise onboarding and operations leader, told reporters Tuesday.
What they're saying: "We specialize in vegan superfood bases such as acai, petalia, blue magic and more," she said. "Everbowls have good longevity, so you can bring it on a plane; it won't melt on you."
Zoom in: Rocket City Bar & Grill is a full-service restaurant with bar and table service, signature cocktails and wine and beer on draft.
- The menu has local and Southern offerings, including a Conecuh Sausage Scramble for breakfast and Alabama Chicken Wings, which can be tossed in Alabama White Sauce.
- Between the two is Rocket City Express, with grab-and-go options.

Case in point: Seating areas have been upgraded, too, per a news release, with expanded accessible and bar seating as well as cubby-style seating, all with charging ports at every seat.
Catch up quick: The airport recently opened its East Runway after a $12.3-million renovation, and opened Interstellar Pizza and Starbucks by Gate 8 last August.
What we're watching: There's still plenty of work to come, explains Mary Swanstrom, HSV public relations manager, starting with a renovation of the retail shop across from the new dining area, set to reopen late this summer.
- The $57-million parking expansion is under construction, new terminal furniture is on the way, and a new Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting station is in the works.
- Work should be wrapped up sometime in 2027, Swanstrom said.
