The world's largest contract logistics provider and a workplace design and furniture company are opening offices at T3 Fat Village in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Why it matters: The new office building is part of the $512 million FAT Village development.
The big picture: Hines' and Urban Development's 5.6-acre project will transform Flagler Village with 600 apartments, retail, restaurants and immersive art.
State of play: Fortune 500 company GXO Logistics, which manages supply chains and warehouses for other companies, is opening a new 35,000-square-foot regional office.
- It'll support businesses in the Americas and Asia-Pacific.
- CBI Workplace Solutions is moving its Fort Lauderdale office from Las Olas to T3.

- The six-story, 180,000-square-foot office building features large windows, steel elements, exposed timber columns and wood ceilings
- It's Hines' signature building style, with T3 standing for timber, transit and technology.
What they're saying: "As a company focused on creating high-performing workplaces, we were drawn to T3 FAT Village's distinctive design, flexibility and connection to the surrounding neighborhood," David Longo, CEO of CBI Workplace Solutions, said in a press release.

What's next: The first office tenants are scheduled to move in next year.
