Charlotte FC kicks off its third season this Saturday at home

Charlotte FC's home opener will take place this Saturday at 7:30pm against New York City FC.

Get involved: Tickets start at $15. The Supporters Tailgate begins at 3:30pm in the McNinch Street Lot and ends at 6pm, when supporters will march to the stadium.

• There will also be a pre-match party from 4:30–6:30pm near the North Gate of Bank of America Stadium.

The background: The 2024 season is the start of a new era for Charlotte FC, with new Head Coach Dean Smith expressing enthusiasm early on.

• "So far, the players have been willing and engaging," said Smith. "They've asked questions, they're learning, and they're working extremely hard…There are certainly things to work with and work toward as well, but I've been pleased so far."

Looking ahead: Highly-anticipated "marquee matchups" of the upcoming season include home matches against MLS club champions Columbus Crew (March 23), local rivals Nashville SC (May 11), Inter Miami CF (July 3) and Atlanta United FC (Aug. 31).
