What's in it for you: Whether you're building a forever home or an investment property, True Homes is a one-stop shop.
True Homes On Your Lot can work with most any budget and can build beautiful homes starting from the $400's and can flex into the $1m space
- On-your-lot Fairview Forest homes start around $800k+.
We took a trip to Fairview Forest in Indian Land to preview some of True Homes' latest OYL homes and get a peek at the building process.
How it's done
Building your dream home is an enormous endeavor that demands meticulous planning, expert guidance and a reliable building partner to navigate the intricacies of the process. True Homes uses a seven-step process to make OYL building a breeze.
1. Tell True Homes about your lot
Before you get to the fun stuff like picking out your kitchen's backsplash, True Homes needs to understand your lot.
Whether on an infill lot in the heart of a major city or acreage in a rural area, the process begins with a conversation about your lot's dimensions, setbacks and other characteristics.
Why it's important: Your lot's features will help True Homes advise you on the perfect floorplan from over 200 options.
2. Determine your budget
True Homes provides services like demolition, site work and a team of third-party partners to simplify the building process. After you select your floorplan, True Homes will perform a site evaluation to determine what kind of site work is needed and the associated costs.
- The evaluation also helps determine the best foundation for your home, utility configurations, house placement and more.
3. Compile your ideal features list
At this point, your dream home will start to come into focus. Your dedicated True Homes Advisor will walk you through structural options for your home.
- An example: Your floorplan might show separate areas for the kitchen and living room, but you may be able to forgo a wall in favor of a more open concept.

4. Sign a purchasing agreement
Once you've identified your lot, your budget, floorplan and structural options, it's time to make it official and sign a purchase agreement.
- This is where the project begins transitioning from vision to reality.
5. Personalization
With your purchase agreement in place, you'll meet with your dedicated Design Studio consultant to start selecting finishes, fixtures and other details for your home.
- Cabinetry, flooring, lighting, paint, hardware and more — it's all up to you.

Next steps: True Homes will then complete your personalized construction plans and submit them for building permits, kicking off the pre-construction phase.
6. Construction begins
This is where the magic happens. Your home will start taking shape once framing begins, and during this stage, your dedicated Personal Builder will reach out to schedule your New Home Review meeting.
What to expect: From the time you sign the contract to the moment you receive your keys, True Homes' expedited time frame averages less than 12 months, ensuring an efficient construction process.
7. Enjoy your new True Home
Now that True Homes has brought your vision to life with expert craftsmanship and personalization, it's time to step into your dream home.
