Adding to the grocery store frenzy, Whole Foods has a Ballantyne store in the making.
Why it matters: You might as well call Ballantyne the land of the fan-favorite grocery store. It's got Sprouts, Publix, Trader Joe's and now Wegmans and Whole Foods.
The latest: An opening timeline is unknown, and Whole Foods did not confirm the address. However, the Amazon-owned grocer is expected to open in the shuttered Earth Fare store, a 26,546-square-foot space at Toringdon Market shopping center, the Charlotte Observer reported.
