Why it matters: This stretch of greenway, which is popular among runners, walkers and cyclists, has been closed for roughly two years while Charlotte Museum of Nature (formerly Discovery Place Nature) built its new facility.
Catch up quick: The closed greenway section was about 765 feet, starting near 1639 Princeton Ave. and heading north to the first pedestrian bridge over the creek.
The bottom line: Greenway users no longer need to detour through Freedom Park to travel along Little Sugar Creek Greenway.
