Ever wanted to play ghost hunter for the night — or just love listening to a good ghost story? Here's your chance to do both.
Context:SpookyCLT, the brainchild of Charlottean and paranormal expert Jason Tapp, will host two immersive paranormal experiences next month. The events will raise money to help repair Old Settlers' Cemetery in Uptown after it was damaged during Hurricane Helene.
What to expect: Haunted Hangout with Juwan Mass of "Ghost Brothers" will be at Dupp & Swat (1824 Statesville Ave. in Camp North End) on Friday, Feb. 6, from 7-10pm. It will be a lecture-style talk exploring real paranormal encounters, spiritual folklore, and haunted history, including Charlotte-specific ghost stories.
Tapp will be joined by paranormal investigator and TV host Juwan Mass of "Ghost Brothers." Tickets start at $25.
Ghost Hunting at VisArt Video (3104 Castaway Dr.) will be an after-hours investigation inside the Eastway video rental store, which is said to be haunted by a torso-less apparition, on Friday, Feb. 13, from 7-10pm.
Two paranormal groups will explore the space using different techniques, followed by a Q&A. Tickets are $30.
