Mother of Dragons is a new game café and wine bar that recently opened in southeast Charlotte.
Why it matters: The café brings a coffee omakase experience to the local coffee scene, brewed in front of you and paired with small pastry bites that coffee aficionados can appreciate.
What to expect: In addition to the barista-led tasting service, the menu includes coffee with a list of rotating Latin American and African beans, tea, and wine by the glass or bottle.
- The menu includes breakfast dishes like breakfast burritos and assorted pastries, plus sandwiches and charcuterie boards.
How it works: The gaming library has over 40 games, from classic board games, advanced options, two-player games and more. You can buy a game or play for free in-store for two visits.
- Game rentals cost $5 per person for ages 10–15 and $10 per person for ages 16 and up. If you bring your own game, table reservations cost $10.
- Gaming tables and private rooms are available to reserve for $20 per person, with private rooms requiring an eight-person minimum for a three-hour session.
Stop by: Find Mother of Dragons at 1640 Sardis Road. Open Monday 5-10pm, Wednesday and Thursday 10am-10pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-11pm and Sunday 12-10pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
