Charlotteans Joey and Scott Linwell are the winners of Netflix's newest game show, "What's In the Box?"
How it works: Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the series puts contestants through fast-paced trivia and challenges for a chance to win life-changing prizes hidden inside mystery boxes.
What they're saying: The Linwells tell Axios' Maxwell Millington their communication and chemistry improved while rebuilding the cabin they lost after Hurricane Helene, contributing to their victory.
"We just tried to talk and figure out things that we didn't know about each other, just little nuances of being in a relationship that we may have overlooked over the past few years," says Joey.
What's happening: Fresh off their win, the NoDa Company Store founders are setting off on a year-long, globe-trotting adventure and they're looking for recs.
"We're asking people online or on social media to tell us where to go," said Scott.
What's next: In the coming months, they'll cash in on their prizes including season tickets to the Panthers, a trip to Paris with a $25,000 shopping spree, a luxury yacht sailing and VIP passes to Coachella and Bonnaroo.
