Charlotte FC midfielder Brandt Bronico and his wife Rebecca have added another Airbnb to their roster — a tiny home in Merry Oaks, a neighborhood next to Plaza Midwood.
Why it matters: The Bronico family is busy off the field, from raising their son Brooks, staying active in the community and growing their real estate portfolio. This is their third Airbnb.
Zoom in: The couple documents their Airbnb projects on Instagram.
Catch up quick: Brandt and Rebecca met in college at UNC Charlotte, where they both played soccer.
- While life took them elsewhere after college, they ultimately made their way back to Charlotte when Brandt signed with Charlotte FC in 2020. He recently signed a new contract with Charlotte FC through 2027, with a 2028 option.
- The couple moved back to Charlotte in 2021 and jumped into the Airbnb business, first with a private suite in the Belmont neighborhood. They added a Lake Norman Airbnb in 2023.
Context: Brandt and Rebecca decided to add a tiny home to their existing property in December 2024, Brandt tells Axios. Permitting for the project began in January, and construction started in April. They tore down a garage to make space for the tiny home.
- They worked with contractor Julian Hernandez of H&S Legacy Properties.
By the numbers: The couple invested roughly $90,000 into the tiny home.
What to expect: The Nest in the Queen City, as they call the property, is a 400-square-foot space. It includes a full kitchen, living room, one bedroom and one bathroom. The decor has a Mediterranean vibe. There's also a covered patio and a hot tub. It includes parking.
- The space lists for roughly $130 per night on weekdays and around $150 per night on weekends.
