My inbox was filled this week with PR pitches from developers celebrating big milestones.
Why it matters: The courtesy photos of construction executives holding shovels and wearing hard hats signal the Charlotte development market is on the up and up.
🏗️ In Optimist Park, Charlotte developer Space Craft celebrated the topping-out for Cordo — a $111 million, seven-story, 287-unit apartment building across from The Hobbyist. It should wrap up in summer 2027.
In South End, Chicago-based Riverside Investment & Development broke ground on the second tower at the $700 million Queensbridge Collective development. It's a mixed-use, 43-story building at Morehead and Tryon streets.
✂️ Oh, and in Ballantyne, Charlotte's Northwood announced the grand opening of Oro — a 356-unit, 26-story luxury residential tower at The Bowl. Rent ranges from $1,570 for a studio to $5,010 for a penthouse.
