South Carolina women's basketball will play in Uptown from 2026-2028

High-profile women's college basketball will return to Uptown through 2028 with the Ally Tipoff at Spectrum Center.

Why it matters: This will bring college basketball royalty to Charlotte at a time when interest and investment in women's sports keep growing.

What to expect: Powerhouse South Carolina, the 2024 national champions, will play in the Ally Tipoff from 2026-2028. There will also be a doubleheader in 2026. Here's the full lineup:

2026: South Carolina vs. North Carolina
2026: N.C. State vs. Kentucky
2027: South Carolina vs. UConn (the reigning national champion)
2028: South Carolina vs. N.C. State

What's next: No. 9 N.C. State will take on the No. 18 USC Trojans in this year's Ally Tipoff on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Spectrum Center at 3pm. Tickets start at $33.
