Tomorrow, Nov. 4, is the last opportunity to vote in Mecklenburg County's 2025 elections.
Why it matters: Charlotte-area residents will elect a mayor, four at-large city council members, individual district representatives to council and school board, and the countywide 1-cent transportation sales tax referendum.
Mecklenburg County municipalities also have races for mayors, councils and commissions.
How it works: Polls are open 6:30am to 7:30pm.
On Election Day, registered voters should go to their assigned polling place. You can find where that is here. You'll also find which city council and school board districts you're in.
What we're watching: Perhaps the most closely watched item on the ballot is the transportation referendum, which would raise the local sales tax by 1%.
If it passes, the millions in new revenue each year would support a transformative transportation plan for the county's roads and public transit network.
