New exhibits to see at Charlotte museums in Uptown

New exhibits have recently opened or will soon open at museums in Uptown.

🎨 Mint Museum Uptown: "Renaissance, Romanticism, and Rebellion: European Art from the Smith-Naifeh Collection" is on view through Feb. 22.

• The exhibit features more than 70 pieces, including paintings and sculptures from 19th-century Europe.

🖌️ Bechtler Museum: "Assembly Lines: Modernism and Machines" is on view through Feb. 2.

• It explores technologies' impact on art from the early 20th century to today through painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography and generative art.

📸 Harvey B. Gantt Center: "Jazz Greats: Classic Photographs from the Bank of America Collection" opens on Nov. 7 with a free celebration at 6:30pm (RSVP here). The exhibit will be on view through April 26.

• "Jazz Greats" includes 33 black-and-white photographs by renowned artists from the 1920s to the 1980s highlighting icons of the genre.
