Former Hornets forward P.J. Washington is selling his Mooresville mansion for $5.8 million, listing agent Joe Carteret with The Carteret Group at Exp Realty tells Axios.
Why it matters: A sale of the home in The Point — a high-end lakefront community on Lake Norman — would sever one of Washington's major ties to Charlotte after his February 2024 trade to the Mavericks.
Catch up quick: Washington and his wife, Alisah Washington, purchased the home in 2023 for $4.1 million during his time with the Hornets.
Layout: The 8,887-square-foot, three-story home with an elevator has five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms.
- Four bedrooms overlook Lake Norman through large glass windows, and one faces the lawn.
Zoom in: The main level features a chef's kitchen with dual quartz islands, a hidden walk-in pantry and folding glass doors that open to the patio for indoor-outdoor living.
- The third floor served as a multi-purpose entertainment space with a built-in kitchenette, bar and wine fridge.
- "There's an area of the home that was set up as a lounge — for watching games on the weekend or gathering with friends," Carteret said.
Lakeside living: Outside features include a deeded boat slip, a pool with spa and waterfall, plus a covered sunroom with a built-in grill for year-round use.
