Christmas is coming to Carolina Theatre with holiday films and live performances.
Why it matters: Nothing says holiday nostalgia like watching "It's a Wonderful Life" in a historic Uptown theater around the holidays.
Catch up quick: The newly restored Carolina Theatre has been buzzing since it reopened in March after being closed for nearly 50 years.
- The 906-seat venue has since hosted films and events highlighting Hispanic Heritage Month, film and television screenings, horror films, vintage blockbusters and other events.

- Dec. 5, 8pm — Mark and Maggie O'Connor's "An Appalachian Christmas" concert.
- Dec. 6, 8pm — The world premiere of "Franklin Presents: My Christmas," which is a retelling of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" from the perspective of Franklin, the Peanuts' only Black character.
