We're back with another edition of our Blind Date series. This time, we sent Victoria and Alex to wine and dine at Dilworth Tasting Room.
Ready to meet your match this year? Apply here for an upcoming date and send the application to your single friends. It's super easy!
First, let's get to know Victoria
She's 31 and a mental health therapist.
Her perfect day in Charlotte involves reading outside a coffee shop, walking her dog, meeting up with friends for dinner and drinks, and ending the night with live music.
What she's saying: "I'm a sarcastic and witty young professional with a big heart and who loves to banter!"
She's looking for: Someone who is kind, intelligent, family-oriented and self-aware.

Now, let's meet Alex
He's 29 and works in healthcare software sales.
His perfect day in Charlotte? Start with a workout, then follow it up with brunch and a stroll around the city. Then, a lazy afternoon in the sun, drinks at the French Quarter and a Charlotte FC game.
Hobbies: Anything outside, the gym, ice cream, walks and wine on a patio.
How he describes himself: "An optimistic dude who tries to squeeze fun into every single day."
His ideal match: "Someone energetic enough to keep up with me [and] has their own hobbies they can bring to the table."

How do you typically meet your dates?
Alex: Typically out in the wild or through friends of friends. I'm not on any dating apps, so it's usually either from fitness-related hobbies, house, or electronic music events.
- One time, my dentist tried to set me up on a blind date.
Victoria: Through the apps (unfortunately).
How would you describe the conversation?
Alex: Quite vibrant. We chatted for more than five hours, and not once was it awkward or did the conversation take an unintentional lull.
- She's a great conversationalist.
Victoria: The conversation was great! It flowed nicely.
- It didn't feel forced, and we didn't have any awkward silences.
How would you describe the chemistry?
Alex: I do think there was good chemistry, or the evening wouldn't have gone as long as it did.
- We even made a stop at Jeni's for ice cream after dinner.
Victoria: I'd say we had great chemistry, but more so as friends.
- I'm not sure either of us felt a romantic vibe, but we definitely got along well.
Thoughts on the date overall?
Alex: I had a great time, honestly. The food, vibes, and evening as a whole were better than expected.
- Definitely an evening I won't forget.
Victoria: I've never done a blind date, so I feel like this was a positive first experience!
- We had great food, drinks, and dessert. Laughed a lot, and overall, I think it was a good date.
What's next? How did you leave things?
Alex: I'm not sure. We are pretty opposite as far as lifestyles, but we did have a nice time together.
- We exchanged info, and I walked her back to her car, so we shall see what the future has in store!
Victoria: We exchanged numbers and talked about getting together again in the future, even as friends, but no concrete plans, which I think is okay — it took the pressure off.
