These Charlotte cocktail bars are transforming into Halloween pop-ups

Spooky season is back, and with it, the return of Halloween pop-up bars. Here are two kicking off Oct. 1 to get on your radar.

Hulaween at Humbug

What to expect: A Halloween-meets-tiki experience, with festive cocktails featuring rum from Muddy River Distillery.

• Plus, on-theme music, decorations and animatronics.

Haunted by Black Lagoon at Backstage Lounge

What to expect: The South End speakeasy will be decked out with Halloween-themed cocktails, light bites and decor.

• Hours are Sunday-Thursday 5pm-midnight and Friday-Saturday 4pm-1am.
