A sprawling mansion with a bowling alley and indoor pool is for sale in south Charlotte for $14,900,000.
Why it matters: A growing number of multimillion-dollar properties have hit the market in recent weeks — a sign that Charlotte's luxury residential market is heating up.
- The new listing is just shy of Charlotte's priciest — a SouthPark mansion that hit the market last month for nearly $15 million.
- Former Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson's estate is also still for sale, and it's asking $10.7 million.
State of play: The south Charlotte luxury residence, built in 2023, belongs to Miriam Peters, who also holds the listing.
- Emerald & Oak Design, led by Peters, designed the mansion in the Highland Forest subdivision.
- Peters is the owner and lead designer of Peters Custom Homes, which is known for building luxury residences across Charlotte.
Layout: The 18,142-square-foot property has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
- Inside is a relaxing retreat spa wing with sauna, massage room, steam room and an indoor pool, plus a fitness room.
Luxury living: There's a range of entertaining features throughout the home, including a 12-seat private theater, indoor bowling alley and golf simulator — high-end amenities for anyone who likes to host lavish get-togethers.
- Outside, the three-acre estate offers an outdoor pool, hot tub, built-in grilling area, fire pit and a guest house.
