A $14 million estate with its own vineyard just hit the market in Davidson, about 30 minutes north of Charlotte's center city.
Why it matters: Davidson now ranks as the wealthiest suburb in the state, with households earning an average of $216,825, and luxury listings like this fueling its multimillion-dollar market.
By the numbers: Davidson ranks No. 23 among America's richest suburbs, per a recent study by GoBankingRates.
- The average home there was valued at about $710,690 in June 2025, a 1.4% increase over the past year.
- Nearly one-third of listings in April 2025 exceeded $1 million — up from just 8.4% before the pandemic, per the New York Post.
The big picture: Multiple listings have crossed the $1 million mark in Davidson, with this $14 million vineyard estate now among the region's priciest homes.
- It trails just behind Charlotte's most expensive property, a $15 million mansion that also hit the market this month.

Zoom in: This luxury residence has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and four half baths at 14,734 square feet.
- Inside, the home has a list of features including a two-story study, wine cellar, movie theater, home gym and golf simulator room.
- It also has a six-car garage and a guest house.
Luxury living: The 13.2-acre gated estate offers more than just privacy. It includes a private vineyard, a resort-style saltwater pool, a putting green, multiple outdoor fireplaces, plus an outdoor kitchen area with a built-in grill.
Design details: Architect Harry Schrader designed the home, which was built in 2018 by Kingswood Custom Homes.
- The property is listed by Josh Tucker and Joseph Adams of Corcoran HM Properties, the same team behind NASCAR star Jamie McMurray's $12M Lake Norman estate.
