Charlotte businesses team up to host massive pride fundraiser

Several local businesses are teaming up to host a massive Pride celebration and fundraiser for Charlotte's LGBTQ+ community ahead of the city's annual Pride Festival.

What's happening: The Pride and Power party, led by fitness studio Madabolic, will take place Saturday, August 9 from 7–10pm at Not Just Coffee's Jay Street location.

• Other local businesses co-hosting the event include Glory Days Apparel, The Coterie, Salud Cerveceria and Honeybear Bakeshop.

What to expect: Food and drinks, a live DJ and plenty of Pride-themed festivities.

If you go: Tickets are $25.

• 100% of proceeds go towards two local LGBTQ+ nonprofits, Twirl to the World and Time Out Youth.
