Wheatberry opens in South End with fresh bakes

Wheatberry Bakeshop opened earlier this year at the Winnifred in South End.

What to expect: The European-inspired shop has a seasonal menu of pastries, breads and cakes.

• We tried the everything bagel danish ($5.75), lavender sugar cookie ($3), chocolate chunk cookie ($3) and carrot cake scone ($5).
