Spaghett, a cozy new Italian restaurant and cocktail house in Uptown's Fourth Ward, was recently opened by a James Beard Award finalist.
Why it matters: Despite the acclaim surrounding the restaurant, Spaghett was one of the more affordable dinners I've had in Charlotte in quite some time. Our dinner for two — with cocktails, a starter, pasta and dessert — came in under $100 before tax and tip.
- "We want to make sure that we are accessible to everyone that is in the neighborhood around us," owner Sam Hart tells Axios.

- Chef Kendall Moore, previously at Charlottesville Italian restaurant Tavole, leads the kitchen. His seasonal menu features local ingredients.
- Top Charlotte mixologist Amanda Britton designed the cocktail menu, which was a highlight of my experience.
