Charlotte nonprofit ArtPop Street Gallerywill host its fifth annual Upcycled Fashion Show and Fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 6 at Blume Studios.
Why it matters: The event supports Charlotte's art community and promotes environmental responsibility through upcycling.
What to expect: 15 commissioned fashion designers will debut eco-conscious runway pieces made from retired ArtPop billboard vinyls.
Context: ArtPop Street Gallery is an arts nonprofit that highlights local artists through public art installations, like billboards, murals and other displays.

Tickets are $150 for general admission and $200 for VIP.
