Charlotte Checkers chase Eastern Conference title

The Charlotte Checkers begin their quest for the Eastern Conference title tonight in Quebec at 7 vs. the Laval Rocket.

Why it matters: The Checkers are familiar with playoff hockey, but they haven't made it this far since they won the Calder Cup in 2019.

What's next: It's a best-of-seven series.

• Game 2 is scheduled for May 29 at Laval at 7pm.
• Game 3 is in Charlotte at 4pm on June 1.
• Games 4 and 5 are at 7pm on June 3 and June 5 in Charlotte.
• Games 6 and 7 will return to Laval if necessary on June 7 and 8 at 3pm.
