Charlotte native Molly Belk recently set the women's world record for the fastest known time (FKT) up and down Mt. Meru in Tanzania.
By the numbers: She completed the climb in 11 hours and four minutes.
Mt. Meru is 14,980 feet tall. It is the second-highest mountain in Tanzania and the fifth-highest in Africa.
