Raleigh favorite opens in South End with late-night food options

Loaded french fry joint The Dankery recently opened inside a South End ghost kitchen.

Why it matters: The Dankery is a popular Raleigh-based restaurant known for its late-night food.

• The South End Eats spot marks its third location, with two others in the Triangle.

Dig in: It's best known for its loaded fries, which can be topped with queso, crab, pulled chicken, shrimp, bacon, steak or crawfish.

• The takeout-only spot also serves sandwiches, burgers, chicken tenders, wings and fried shrimp.
