Puerta, the popular Mexican restaurant in Elizabeth, is expanding its dining space with an updated lounge (the space with the bar you see when you first walk in).
Starting next month, it'll have new booths and larger tables that will seat parties of four to six people.
Why it matters: Puerta is one of Charlotte's best restaurants, and since it opened in 2023, business has remained busy with hard-to-snag reservations.
Driving the news:Puerta released new dinner, brunch and drink menus over the weekend.
Its dinner menu focuses on fresh seafood, with raw and charred oysters, tuna guacamole, scallop aguachile and an al pastor red snapper.
Plus, they're introducing a shareable taco experience called "para la mesa," or "for the table" in Spanish. It brings your choice of two meats and two sides, plus tortillas and several toppings.
Its drink menu now offers Agua Fresca Spritzes, new craft beers and after-dinner cocktails like the Paloma Negra and Mexican Hot Chocolate.
