Why it matters: Clubs from all over the country will head to Charlotte to compete.
Evy Leibfarth, a Bryson City native who won a bronze medal in women's canoe at the Paris 2024 Olympics will be competing in all three women's events — canoe, kayak, and kayak cross, per ACA communications manager Kaycee Maas.
Also competing: Huntersville resident Casey Eichfeld, who competed in Paris, and Bug Lokken, who raced in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
If you go: There will be six events open to the public (no tickets required) — canoe, kayak, and kayak cross for men and women.
Today, the Canoe Slalom races will be from 8:30am-12pm and the Kayak Cross Time Trials will be from 6-7pm.
Tomorrow, the Kayak Cross Head-to-Head Racing will be from 11:30am-1:30pm.
