The Charlotte Film Festivalruns Sept. 24-29 at the Independent Picture House, just north of NoDa.
Expect local, regional, national, and international films, including animated shorts, documentary features, documentary shorts, student shorts and lots more.
Context: The Independent Picture House, a nonprofit arthouse theater, opened in the summer of 2022. The festival's previous host, Charlotte's renowned Manor Theater, closed its doors in 2020.
