Hispanic Heritage Month starts Sunday, Sept. 15, but local Cuban restaurant El Puro is starting the party early.
Driving the news: Tomorrow, Sept. 12 the restaurant will host "Havana Night" with a lechón asado en caja China (roast pork) and salsa dance lessons with Messina Dance Company. Tickets are $15 at the door.
On Friday, Sept. 20, the restaurant will host "Noche de Carnaval," featuring traditional Cuban musical performances and a Rumbera dance show.
What's next: Hispanic Heritage Month runs through Tuesday, Oct. 15.
