Sage Kitchen & Cocktails offers taste of the Caribbean

Sage Kitchen & Cocktails is a new restaurant and lounge in north Charlotte.

Dig in: Expect a blend of dishes with island flavors from places like Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

• For now, it has a smaller menu with shareable plates, a few entrees and cocktails.
• In the coming weeks, it'll incorporate more traditional Haitian dishes like djon djon (black rice), pikliz (pickled cabbage) and patties.

Stop by: 9330 Center Lake Dr. It's open Tuesday through Thursday 5-12pm, Friday 5pm-2am, Saturday 1pm-2am and Sunday 1pm-12am.
