The 2024 Charlotte Pride Parade and festival starts today in Uptown.
What to expect: The festival begins at noon, featuring live entertainment, hundreds of vendors, art exhibits, a food court and a massive parade tomorrow along Tryon Street from 1-4pm.
Headliners Baby Tate, Bob the Drag Queen and electronic dance-pop artist Slayyyter will take the main stage in Uptown tomorrow.
Admission is free.
If you go: There's no designated parking. Public transit options with multiple Uptown stops include:
🚊 Lynx Blue Line, which runs from UNC Charlotte to I-485. Get off at 7th Street Station or Charlotte Transportation Center and Arena Station.
🚃 CityLYNX Gold Line Streetcar, which runs from Elizabeth to JCSU. Get off at CTC/Arena station. CATS will operate a bus bridge to provide service between CTC and French Street stations from noon to 4 pm on Aug. 18 due to the parade route.
